ALUMNI VS STUDENTS TRIVIA NIGHT

The University of Toledo Engineering Council (UTEC), in conjunction with the College of Engineering Alumni Affiliate, invites you to participate in an Alumni vs. Students Virtual Trivia Night with Sporcle Live from 7 - 8 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 11, 2021.

This free event is being hosted in celebration of Pi Day, which falls on a weekend this year.

Create a team of 3-6 Rocket engineers in hopes of winning bragging rights. If you register as an individual, you will be placed on a team. Prior to the start of trivia, participants will be asked to change their screen name to their team name. Once your team name is visible, the trivia host will match teams together in a breakout room after each question to discuss the questions and answers with your teammates.

To register for this event, please have one teammate fill out the registration form. Please place all team members’ names and email addresses in the free text box at the end of the form.

The deadline to register for the event is Tuesday, March 9.

CAREER FAIR CRASH COURSE

The University of Toledo Engineering Council (UTEC) teamed up with ZF to host a Spring 2021 Career Fair Crash Course. Presenting virtually on the Shah Center’s Blackboard page, ZF’s University Relations Specialist, Rachna Chhaya, gave students tips on building their resumes and interviewing in both virtual and in-person settings. The event ended with a Q&A session, in which Rachna was able to answer some great questions from students as they prepared for the College of Engineering’s Spring 2021 Career Expo. Missed out on the livestream but still want resume and interviewing tips? No worries, you can find the recording here!

"To cultivate relationships between The University of Toledo and business/educational organizations within the Toledo community; aid in the stability, success, and advancement of all recognized student organizations within the College of Engineering; provide for the advancement and academic support of all students within the College of Engineering; and to facilitate and ensure communication between the College of Engineering faculty, staff, students, and student organizations."

UTEC is comprised of both undergraduate and graduate student leaders within the College of Engineering who fulfill our mission by: Providing a public forum for students and student organizations within the College of Engineering to express their ideas, suggestions, and complaints. Enhancing the experience of the students and student organizations within the College of Engineering. Facilitating cooperation between the students, student organizations, and faculty/staff within the College of Engineering. We accomplish these objectives through regular event programming targeted at bridging the gap between these groups and recognizing the work of the outstanding engineering students. Feel free to browse the website more information about the council, the student organizations we represent, and what is happening on UT's Engineering Campus.
